Redirect & UTM Link Checker
This tool follows a link through every redirect and tells you the final URL, whether it's broken, and whether your UTM tracking parameters survive to the end — before you spend a cent on ads.
We follow the full redirect chain and check whether your UTM parameters survive to the final URL. Nothing is stored.
Check redirects and UTM parameters in one click
This free redirect checker and broken link checker follows any URL through every hop of its redirect chain and shows you the final destination, the HTTP status of each step, and how long the chain takes to resolve. It's the fastest way to answer "is this link broken?" and "where does this link actually go?" before you put money behind it.
What makes it different: it also checks whether your UTM parameters and ad click IDs (gclid, fbclid, ttclid, msclkid) survive to the landing page. Redirects that strip the query string silently break Google and Meta Ads auto-tagging — so your conversions get misattributed even when the link "works".
What this tool checks
- The full redirect chain and final URL, with status codes and timing
- Whether the link is broken (404, 500) or resolves cleanly
- Whether your UTM parameters survive to the end
- Whether gclid / fbclid ad click IDs survive (auto-tagging)
- Redirect quality: 301 vs 302, insecure http hops, slow chains
- Landing-page noindex and canonical issues

One connected workflow
Most tools stop at "here's your link." We follow it end-to-end — so your campaign is tracked from the first click all the way to the landing page.
Frequently asked questions
What does this link checker do?
It follows a URL through its full chain of redirects, shows the HTTP status of every hop and the final destination, and checks whether your UTM tracking parameters survive to the end. It catches broken links and lost tracking before you spend money sending traffic to them.
Why do my UTM parameters get lost in redirects?
When a link redirects, the destination server decides which query parameters to keep. Some redirects (link shorteners, forced https/www, marketing platforms, CMS rules) strip the query string entirely — so your utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign never reach the landing page and the visit is misattributed as "direct".
What is a redirect chain and why does it matter?
A redirect chain is every hop a URL passes through before the final page (for example http → https → www). Each hop adds load time and is a chance for tracking parameters to be dropped. Long chains slow the page and raise the risk of lost UTMs.
Can I check multiple links at once?
Yes. Switch to Bulk mode and paste up to 20 URLs, one per line, to check them all in a single run.
Is it free and is anything stored?
It's completely free with no sign-up, and nothing is stored — each check runs in real time and the results are not saved.
What does a "broken" result mean?
The final URL returns an error status such as 404 (not found) or 500 (server error). Ads and posts pointing to a broken link waste every click, so it's worth fixing immediately. Need clean links to start with? Use the UTM Builder.
